Found some more random photos

Well peeps I'm back at it again. As I said yesterday I looked and found some pics that I thought worthy of random posts, and I have quite a lot of them. So settle in and have a look and even if you've seen them before, pictures are always fun to revisit.

This doesn't look normal.
Emma G getting some needed relief from a stuffy nose.
She looks so happy with herself!
Bubbles floating down an ally in New Orleans.....enchanting.
Caitlin in the background acting goofy.
She continued.
And again.
Emma and Addy roadtripping.
Olivia wanted a mini motorcycle.
Addy looks quite disgusted with the girls' messy room.
I've never seen a suspicious horse giving the side eye.
A series of the goof butt cat.
A view from down under.
And another.
Not even sure what car they are in here.
There's always one wiseacre with a camera.
Maisy wants Caitlin to get out of her seat.
And a particularly rainy day at ULM.
From the look on his face, I'm not sure if this was a success or not
Marlie Marie.
Addy's settling down for a long winter's nap in Emma's bed.
Except for the right turn on the hair, this was a successful drawsome.
Who could this straight haired girl be?
She would be Olivia. Pretty sure she had been a Maggie's salon.

I'm out people.

I have huge issues with my sinuses and so I'm going to bed early, for me at least.

TTFN.

Just some thoughts about the week

You know I find that pictures take so much pressure off of having to write words. Pictures are so much easier. But in the last few days I've spent some time rereading old posts, and it's such a good record of what happened and when. Right now my family has finished our first full week of school and the new job started for Emma. We're all adjusting to new schedules with some people walking around like zombies. It's so hard to get up early after summer vacay.

Last week some of our cousins stopped into town on their way to the beach, and we met at Mom's house for a visit. At one point I was sitting on the couch and not talking and the noise in the room was so loud I taped it on my phone for evidence of the decibel overload. It was amazingly loud. And even though I don't have the tape uploaded to my blog, just imagine a lot of people talking at the same time and it was really really loud.

Then last Saturday morning some of us attended a funeral for the mother of a church friend. Two sons and a nephew she raised as her own told sweet stories of their childhood. We laughed and cried as they spoke of her devotion to their education and how she made them study even on snow days in Chicago. She made them pray together when they got in scuffles. They hated that. They captured all of us with the love they had for their mother. In her last years she lived with her son and his family. She had some health issues and was eventually confined to a wheelchair, but her son said it had been a privilege to have her live with them and care for her. I don't think I'll ever forget his words. These days people don't say things like that when they might be inconvenienced by the illness of a loved one.

Which brings me to the fact that in the last four weeks five people we knew, or knew someone in their family, have passed away. Two of them were our neighbors. That's a lot.

Also just as I suspected the second school week was much more eventful than the first. So that other shoe did drop....sort of right on my head. Apparently all people don't see me as fab and harmless. But that's all I have to say about that.

Onto a few pictures to document the week and then a surprise announcement.

Get ready.
We celebrated John and Caitlin's birthday on Wednesday.
2, 552 years old. Already did that joke on Instagram, but it still amuses me.
Mollie bought a car. Woo hoo! When I typed that, instead of hitting the o twice a hit the p and therefore it said woo hop. I think I like it.
The sunsets continue to be wonderful.
Really wonderful.
And the girls celebrated the NSYNC reunion, that lasted all of 35 seconds.

Well peeps here's the surprise. A few days ago I discovered I never went through Caitlin and Olivia's old phone pictures. And so I did. I found some maybe never before seen photos that I'll be posting as the week progresses. That is, until Thursday when I will be leaving town for the long weekend.

So it's 1:59 and all are asleep except for me.

I've got to go join the sleepers.

I'm so over being awake.

Nighty night.

I wonder and hope

Yesterday I took this picture on the right as Caitlin was modeling her 25th birthday shoes from Whitney. I took the picture of the little girl Caitlin on a beach in South Carolina when she was almost 3 years old. As I was looking at both this afternoon, I wondered if the two could talk, what she would tell this little girl. I hope she would tell her she could look forward to a fun and loving childhood and that she would be safe and protected as a little girl. And she would be loved more than she could imagine. I wonder....and hope she'd say she would love more than she would hate. She would trust more than she wouldn't. She would forgive as much as she was forgiven. She would be a good student and a trustworthy person. She would be a good friend and a great friend. She would be fun and funny, and creative and artistic and sing beautifully. She would know how important she was to her entire family.

I wonder if she would she tell her she'd love the beach and a little farm in Texas and Duke basketball and shopping in Dallas. And in 25 years she would have a treasure trove of wonderful memories.

And finally whisper in her ear to trust God even when she didn't understand, and her faith would see her through.

At least that's what I hope she would tell her.

Twenty five. When did this happen?

This may finally be it for randoms

Well school has started off so smoothly I'm constantly looking for the other shoe to drop. One of the reasons it's going so well is because many of our Gap kids are returnees, so they know the drill. And the weather in August is fabulous! One of my fav kids isn't in Gap this year, and I miss her so much. She was hurrying through the room the other day and quickly waved as she went by. Sigh.

Owen's senior year started off just as smoothly, and I've already had to send money to school. Tax dollars NEVER stretch. Don't get me started.

The girls and I have been watching movies this week, but Monday begins this year's reality check with school and new jobs beginning. Caitlin's going back to school and Emma's starting a new job and life as it has been is ova. At least for a while.

I really think this is the last random photos post for now. I think I've beat this dead horse to death about 10 times.
Ranger game! It was in the summer! It was hot!
Pretty.
Watching football in the rain.
Don't know who sent this, but I want this car!
Who knew the people of Wal Mart came from our own family?
It rained a lot in Corsicana.
Beautiful
Maya's ready for the duck blind.
Carlie's at the mall!
Ellie never lacks a comfy place to nap.
Baby Maisy.
No idea who, but adorable.
Adorbs.
That remote is out of control! Get it? I know, it was lame.
Not sure Lindsey is aware she is photographing herself.
OMG
Grace seems to love pillows as much as Addy.
Does this dog cover herself?
Ellie on a road trip!
Pensive Ellie.
Beautiful. I think Carlie took this.
She remains ridiculous to this day.
This is really great.
In honor of school starting.
The sun is setting on this post of random photos. Anyone sick of it yet?

There it is. The sun is setting on the randoms for now.

I'm off to run errands before meeting my munchkins.

Peace to the people....
