The Eve at church communion 2012

Once this year's Christmas Eve arrived, it was business as usual, communion at church and then back to Grandma's for breakfast and hanging out. There were two new additions to this year's festivities. The first being William. The second? Well you'll just have to wait and read the next post to find out what it was.

It's a mini cliffhanger.

Moving on to the main attraction.

Dale wrapping up a communion session in prayer. That's not really Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus. It's just an artsy depiction.
The Billster and the Willster, at his first Christmas communion. And he's not even Catholic!
 A gaggle of girls.
With one being silly.
Improved behavior.
Someone's being weird.
That's a good looking group of guys.
The youngsters.
Plus Whitney.
Another group of girls with Caitlin being grabby.
Super cute pic of William with his harem.
Another attempt at a family portrait, but it seems William thinks Mom's shirt is delicious.
Better.
Ummm no, he ain't feeling it.
Then just as we were headed out the door, we took a picture of the red people. Now even though I have a well documented aversion to matching, Christmas eve and day are two days that I concede to a matching color. I really can't claim red on those two occasions. It'd be like....some amusing analogy that would work here but I can't think of one. But I call Valentine's Day! Stick it! Lick it!
Another.
Last one.
Plus my family. Thank you Lord for my family.

Next up.

What's the mysterious addition to Christmas Eve 2012?

Come back and find out.

Hopefully sooner than later.

1:38 in the A M. Time to go see if my bed is cozy and warm and also to see if John's snoring the popcorn off the ceiling.

Here's hoping that last one's a no!

God bless us every one.

That really works all year round.

My eve's eve at Gmaw's

Take two of the same night. I wonder what we were doing while this camera was snapping.
Willie D has been enjoying some supper.
Two W's
Back atcha!
Give me some love!
Back lit hair.
These are basically all of William interspersed with a few people.
Chubby cheeked boy.
If the carol singers looked as cute as this, I'd have a ton of them.
Looks like he just hit a low note in his song.....or burped.
Thanks to my loyal fans.
The Austin and the Carlie got in a shot.
But we're back to the Willster.
And then a few more people got camera lucky.
No offense.
But William must be in the bathtub or something.
My Christmas present.
William's in the background.
And he got right into it.
And checked the craftsmanship.
And gave it his approval.
He seemed quite pleased.
With his first Christmas present from his first Christmas.

Up next, the real eve.

Later to the peeps.

Melanie's before the eve 2012

It begins again. The Christmas that was. As always we met a Grandma's for some of the festivities and took pictures. You know the old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." So we didn't! This was the night before the night before Christmas, or as Emma says, Christmas Adam." Get it? Whatevs. These are Melanie's. My Christmas Adam will come next and will essentially be the same photos from a different angle. Whatevs again. Lets go see who was there.

William's first Christmas!
Having a meet cute with Otis.
Just hanging around being cute.
That finger must taste delish.
He's not so sure why Billie's lying down. That's LYING down.
But he's warming up to it.
Having a little refreshment.
Aww shucks I know I'm adorable,
Getting comfy.
People in the prime seating area.
"Well that's not what she said you said."
William has his Santa jammies on.
There are just so many ways to say he's cute.
Family photo. William ain't feeling it.
Then a Christmas surprise was brought in the door.
That just happened....
To be....
For me! And Austin's excited too!
Hand made by Dale for me for Christmas. I love it.

Then back to the family photo shoot. Parents get it together! The kid's ready!

Nope. The moment's passed.
Then Lins and William wanted to try mine out.
Until they saw Dale made one for William too!
And he loved it.
Then he was ready for a bottle and a crash.
Love.
So sweet
Too hard to choose just one.
So I didn't.
Love it.
He's about to tell people to take him home to his bed.
In his own special language.
It's now 2:51 and I've been working on this post forever because I messed it up and almost had to start from scratch.

 Ugh.

Onward and upward!

 Or just to bed.

 That's the ticket.
