Update!

There's another baby on the way and I forgot about a graduation! I'll identify all the players later but for now, and in my defense, I just found out about the baby....and I plum forgot about the grad. My apologies to the grad. So lets sum up.

A wedding in November
A baby in December
A graduation in March
Two babies in March
A wedding in March
Two graduations in May

These are the fun future things we have to look forward to.

I personally can't wait.

We are so gonna par tay....

Leaving day of trip 2 to Corsicana by...the same person as before

July 7, 2013

Once again the end has come

It's leaving day and and at some point a frenzy of clothes flying and people racing around to get out of town begins. Lauren and Austin left first and then Randy. The rest of us are leaving soon.

*See previous posts to find out who.*

Maggie and Olivia slept so long people had to shoo them out of the bed. Lisa fed the horses some treats and Maisy got several that fell out of Lisa's hand to the ground. Maisy rode home with Randy. We won't know til later if his trip was affected by her unintended bran breakfast.

Currently people are waiting for other people to get Schlotsky's (sp) and then we are out!

It was fun in spite of injuries sustained in multiple falls.

Hope to be back soon!

Two posts...

Scroll lazy fingered peeps.

Day 4 of trip 2 to Corsicana by....not Olivia or Austin

July 6, 2013

This day began like all the rest, people filtering out of their beds and onto the back porch. This happens anywhere from 8:00 to 12:00. After sitting and discussing how people slept, the eating of Collin Street pastries and Donut Palace donuts occurred. The mystery project continued (not a mystery project anymore)

(Texas flags for the underside of the bunk beds). Everyone scattered to the 2 winds for lunch, Schlotsky's (sp) and Bill's Fried Chicken and once the flags were completed, 2 cars containing Melanie, Maggie, Austin, Lauren (car 1) and Lisa, Carrie, Meredith, Caitlin and Olivia (car 2) drove to a convenience store/peach place about 30 minutes away. Although our hopes were slightly dashed due to the lack of enchantingness (probably not a word) it was still enjoyable. One strange commodity for sale was cherry salsa. That sounded so gross to Lisa especially. Our travel to the peach place which is actually Cooper's peach something something was on I-45 south. On the way home we traveled the dusty Texas backroads to home. It was quite the delightful afternoon spent even though communication between the 2 cars was virtually nil.

After a quick stop at Wal Mart to get hot dog buns and sausage, we arrived back at the farm to have a midnight supper (really 9:00 pm) but it was well past Lisa's regular eating time. After jockeying for showers, many of us sat on the back porch and talked and laughed and discussed and dreamed and had a wonderful all around time. (We really are the best ones). Then it was time for our night ride and something stupid happened. Lisa forgot her phone (she was already in the car) so she went back to the house to get it and stepped off the sidewalk and fell when her ankle rolled and she went down hard. It hurt like hades. Just ask her. I just asked her and she confirmed. After multi people helped with ice and sympathy, she rallied and still went on the night ride. Night riders were Melanie, Carrie, Meredith, Maggie, Olivia, Maya and Lisa.

The animals or country critters have shunned us this entire trip. No owls, no wild boars, no lions or tigers or bears.....oh my. It was a disappointment. We found ourselves traveling the brick roads and streets in town and retracing our roots once again. We drove by Mollie and Nina's house, AKA 212, and once again witnessed the continuing demise of the once stately home. We arrived back at the farm and everyone scurried to their beds (Lisa hobbled). Maggie and Olivia stayed up very late which caused Lisa to have to sleep with the lamp on....she wasn't happy about it. And so came the end of the last night of this trip to Corsicana.

P.S. Lisa slept with her foot elevated and it was a success.

P.S.S. Lisa sat in a chair the other day and it broke and she fell to the ground. This particular trip kicked the crap out of Lisa.

Austin chillin and reading.
Horses chillin, not reading.
Tude.
That's what I said, did you not hear me?
Tude too!
He wanted the camera.
Still beautiful.
I've taken...
9 million...
Pictures of this place.
And I never get tired of it.
How could you not love it?
Book readers love to read books here.
Aww don't they look cute?
Someone's playing hide and seek.
Lookin good.

Then another owl box was made.
Because we want owls to come and live with us at our place.
There seemed to be lots of discussion about the plan.
Maybe one day the owls will like their owl hotel at route 3.
And this picture has no redeeming quality except for once again defining the term, calf looking at a new gate.

Almost finished with another Texas trip.

I shot my first shotgun today. I'm now a gun toter. After about 20 attempts, I killed one skeet, and then I quickly put the gun down, cause I knew the odds of hitting another was not good. There are actually now about 10 new gun toters after today. I'll post pics soon. There's so many posts to post I think I'll take a break.

SO. MUCH. PRESSURE.

Sleepy....

Tired....

Those two are a good combo this time of night...

Gone to the bed peeps....

Day 3 of trip 2 to Corsicana by Olivia

July 5, 2013

Today we mourned the loss of the ribs, Becky and Keith went home. We ate at Old Mexican Inn, and Austin and Lauren took engagement photos. It was hot all day but delightfully cool in the evening. We started a mystery paint project that ended up not being a mystery and ate Braum's again. It was a very lazy day with dinner and the pictures being the highlight. The pics turned out great and din was fab. We went on a night ride and it was as cool as autumn outside. All critters have been laying low this trip except for jackrabbits and cats. The humans have been laying low too apparently as there is nothing else interesting to report.

Tomorrow....

Quoting Olivia, "Din was fab."
Played a little with this one with Meredith's help.
So Maggie was saying to Lauren, "Lift your foot up." But Austin didn't know she was talking to Lauren so he did as he thought he was told! Cracked us up. Don't he look cute?
Played with the lighting on this one.
Love this one.
And this one.
In almost all photo shoots these days there's the obligatory throw the head back and laugh shot. I told Austin I had to have one of those. He obliged.
Maisy wondered where they were going.
Love it.
And this one.
We took so many it was hard to chose.
And they lived....
Happily ever after....

Our family seems to be doing things in two's these days.

Two beautiful rings. Two lovely couples. Two different stories. Two weddings ahead! It's going to be so much fun and I'm looking forward to both of them, as well as two new babies!

Our family is going to finish this year with a wedding and a baby and blaze into 2014 with a wedding, a baby and two graduations! There's so many bright things in the future and it's so exciting and fun! Can't wait! Congratulations to all the participating people and all the spectators. We'll have a blast waiting and anticipating and enjoying each event. It's almost like a bunch of Christmas mornings coming!

God bless and protect and make all things easy for all people involved in each of their events....weddings and babies and graduations!

SO. MUCH. FUN.

Also for lazy fingered people, scroll down cause there's two posts.

Scrolling seems to be so stressful for some.

You know who you are.

Seriously. So much fun.

Love....

Day 2 of trip 2 to Corsicana by Olivia then Austin then Olivia again

Continuing with the documentation of our Corsicana trip brings us to this particular journal entry which was a joint effort by Olivia and Austin. It seems Olivia started the daily entry but was either interrupted or saw little else to report. Then at some point Austin wrote a romance novel about his cooked ribs, and then the tag teaming continued when Olivia felt the need to add her stamp of approval by tacking on the last sentence. She did, after all, eat some of the ribs Austin cooked. Not to be confused with eating Austin's ribs, which is altogether different and disturbing.

Moving on....

July 4, 2013

Becky Keith and Meredith arrived today to join the celebration of the birth of the single greatest nation to grace the face of the earth. The earth was made for Jesus and the United States of America.

On July 4th Austin awoke and began his prep work for his day's cooking. He then proceeded to cook the best ribs anyone had ever eaten. Ever. In the history of ribs and the earth. They were so good, angels came down and serenaded each bite. They were so good everyone forgot their name for a good half hour. They were so good, no one remembered what they did the rest of the day. This might be a short entry for the day. Sorry. Not sorry. They were so good, Caitlin, Olivia and Maggie popped fireworks that evening just to commemorate their brief, but delicious, existence.

This is accurate.

All ready to celebrate the 4th of July!
Fast forward to that night at the fireworks and Caitlin's lovely mug. I apparently took no other photos that day.
Better pic of the three, plus Mere and Becky are in the background.
One mo time.
A motley crew. Loving that look of Olivia, as if to say "REALLY?"
Once more.
The whole group.
Then it looks like it took a turn towards nighty night time
They seriously look comfortable.
Plus John.
Then the girls shot their own fireworks.....in celebration....of the ribs cooked by Austin.
They were really really good and worth celebrating....a lot.
I kept this one in only because of Caitlin's flame face.
Then flaming hair.
And then the celebration.....
Came to an end.
And there's day 2 in the bag.

Also Owen's home form his rainy beach trip and the countdown for work for me is now 19 days. People who work full time probably have little sympathy for my plight. But I have it for me!.

It's late and I feel the need for a comfy place to rest my head.

Later insta peeps.
