Easter 2012 is now officially over

These are the last of the Easter photos, random ones worth seeing because many amuse me for one reason or another. Commentary may be lame or sparse, cause I'm sick of it. Tell you what, make stuff up yourself.

After the wedding on Saturday, this is what I'll be doing for the next 8 days:
sitting
car riding
hopefully reading
celebrating Owen's 17th birthday
being glad I'm in Corsicana.

Now onto the pictures.

Emma's doing her impression of an owl. Hoo.....hoo.

This is an example of how Olivia caused me great consternation on that bright Easter morn.

And this as well.

I don't have anything sarcastic to say about this, but it cracks me up. Maybe something about....hmmmm.....nope, it's still not coming.

Maggie in an obvious photo bomb. Bill's amused, Lindsey's stunned.

Caitlin's hair's catching a breeze.

Maggie being highly skeptical that she and Carlie are really and truly related.

Emma's being sassy, which is perplexing Olivia. And Caitlin's continuing her streak of funny faces.

Emma seems to be the only one amused with herself.

Now Olivia's nonconforming in the other direction.

Mollie's about to bust with some information.

Maggie's complaining about those young whipper snappers again. In case any of you have forgotten, I've used that regarding Maggie before. But tell me that's not a whipper snapper face? Let's look at it close up.

It totally is!

Carlie's unamused by the two "blondes."

Next is exasperation.

Now obviously grossed out by something, but Emma's gonna keep posing.

But who's that in the background?

Olivia's found a hole.

She found the perfect spot for photobombing.

Excellent.

Now Olivia's trying to act casual, Whitney's recreating the Angelina Jolie leg, which is causing Carlie to be incredulous. Emma's in her own world now.

Olivia seems unsure.

And Caitlin's just plain scary.

Now I'm out like a fat kid in dodge ball.

What's happening and William's visit to our house

After I post the last pictures of Easter 2012 tomorrow, don't be expecting anything new til after June 3rd. The entire Louisiana faction of the family is mobilizing or has already mobilized to travel to Texas for Kelly and Jon's wedding. At this moment my family's the only one left, which means I'm the most adult in town. That spells trouble. Maybe it'd be better said I'm the oldest in town. That's really more true.

So unless I have a reason to post something in Texas, and so far I've never had an emergency blog post, the blog will be silent for a week. There's much left to do before I leave town, and since I've spent most of the day thinking about doing, rather than doing, that also spells trouble. So I gots to go get busy.

We had surprise visitors today when Lindsey and William came by for a few. It's been over a week since I'd seen his sweet face. Oh my goodness he's so sweet, smiling and ready to talk. Can't wait for it! He performed all his tricks while here.

He slept.

He yawned.

He smiled.

He tried to talk.

All the while Addy was freaked at this little creature in our house. It's her first sighting of a baby, and she hadn't an idea what to think. It was highly amusing.

OK peeps, that's it til the post tomorrow and then......

I hear Texas calling my name.

Later taters.

Easter 2012 groups with commentary

Here goes this year's Easter commentary, and it's a doozie. I've taken the group shots from Easter, first using the whole picture, then cutting it in the middle so as to examine the close up. It allows me to see people's amusing faces while they're waiting to achieve the money shot. That's my new phrase in case you hadn't noticed. I surely love it. Anyway, the process of group shots goes like this. People group up and then wait to find out if their position is acceptable for the picture. After a brief overview, people may be moved and placed strategically in holes, or made to squat so everyone can be seen. Oh it's a happening. And while all this is taking place, Melanie's snapping away in order to achieve the outtakes that I long for. This year didn't disappoint. There are lots of photos to see in this post, so it's not for the faint of heart.

See if you can survive the scroll down.

The group is beginning to find their places, while Whitney and Grandma have taken the time for a silent prayer.

Carrie's dreaming of being at work. Whitney and Olivia are looking at Otis who's been cropped, and Carlie had to be cut out of this picture in order for my large butt to be edited out as well. Sorry Car.

People are straightening things and preparing to look good. I must say, keep your eyes on Caitlee B in the following pictures, because her facials do not disappoint. Also not so sure if Lindsey, Grandma and John have all spotted some poop.

Next.

Whitney's werqing it. Others are boring me.

Olivia on the other hand is pensively scratching while hatching a plan to annoy Emma. Emma and Caitlin are checking out the belly and Bill's getting in some face time with the camera.

Next please, let's look at Whitney closer up.

Now Whitney's REALLY werqing it, Mollie's devil may care attitude comes through in the picture, Maggie's judging Carlie, Carrie obviously heard a rumor there's a prize for the most closed eyes. Jared's bored of it all.

Olivia's wishing she'd gotten a manicure, Emma's focused on the camera, but right next to her, Caitlin's posing her hiney off and Lindsey looks as if she's going after Grandma. Watch out Grandma!

Next please.

I'm thinking about punching my own face. Mollie's admiring Carlie, Carlie's posing for the young Republican's club, Maggie's now judging Mollie. Jared just heard the rumor. Whitney's been posing her butt off for about 10 frames now.

Jackpot on this end. Bill's smoothing out his lip balm, Owen looks a little spicious, Emma's confused, Olivia's concerned, but Caitlin's face is just aces all around.

Next...

Carlie's trying to ignore Mollie's mmuuaaa and Maggie's considering clunking their heads together.

This one's golden.

I look pensive about it, Carlie's annoyed by it, Whitney's still werqing it, Mollie's ignoring it, Maggie's losing it, Carrie's laughing at it, Olivia's confused by it and Dale has a dream.

Bill has amused Caitlin, Lindsey's fixing things, Emma's supporting Lindsey's fixing things, Owen and Billie are boring me and now Lydia's about to clunk some heads.

This one's primo.

John's dutifully standing, I'm trying to remember my outfit with my eyes closed, Otis is doing his impression of a howling coyote, Carlie and Whitney are enjoying Otis' rendition of a howling coyote, Mollie's clueless about what's about to happen, Carrie can't believe what's about to happen and Maggie? Well that girl is hungry.

The Swanders are straightening. Owen's scrunching. Everyone else is bor ring.

Let's see that scrunching up close....yep that's scrunching.

Next please.

Carrie's practicing closing her eyes. Carrie! You nailed it! Let it go already. Mollie's thinking about licking somebody. Someone PLEASE go get Randy a step ladder. John's asleep.

Grandma's picking a number between one and 10. Owen's in mid squat. The rest of the people did not perform.

Once more.

I'm sure I just said something witty and wonderful or......I just grabbed Carlie's boo tay. I'm going with boo tay.

The other side of the pic is aces. Lindsey's lost hope of ever finishing, but Caitlin's expression just made my day. We have to see that closer.

That's full on glazed eye. Awesome.

This really may never end.

The people are amused over here. Carrie, sigh.....

The people with lost hope are over here. Bill's considering staging a distraction to make a get away.

Once more with feeling.

People behaving, Randy's in another zip code.

This seals Caitlin's win for the most funny faces. Olivia's been bitten by the closed eye bug.

There aren't many more.

Everyone's about to scatter cause Carlie wants to play, "pull my finger."

Lindsey knew what Carlie was up to. Owen's posture here is stunning!

Last one. I promise.

I'm finally so sick of myself and my commentary, I've punched my own face.

Emma's counting the money she just stole out of everyone's pockets, and Bill's giving the photo shoot a round of applause.

But that's not all folks!!

We still have Gmaw and the grands.

Here's a classic example of repositioning. Mollie's over here.

But now's she's being redirected to...

Wait for it...

She's still moving, but with flare.

And now, she's over there.

And Maggie's now seeable, and seemingly none too pleased about it.

Mollie's pleased with herself for the whole "moving to the other side with flare," and Bill finally had to go to his happy place.

We're almost finished people, and at first glance, this looks like a keeper.

But with closer review, Emma and Mollie ruined it for everybody.

Olivia's refusing to conform.

That's dedicated nonconforming. Caitlin? I have no idea.

Smack the money maker! I think we have a winner here.

But the try for one more.....

Failed miserably due to Mollie's closed eyes.

And now, once again Easter's in the books or on the blog or something like that.

And once again, I'm sick of it!!!!

Later....
