The project at church for the last few months has been moving our nursery to a new and more user friendly location on the other side of the building. This is one of those projects where with each stage, people bring their ideas and expertise and it's fun to see each person's contribution. These pictures were taken by multi people. I don't want to take the credit.
It began with demolition, Dales' favorite thing to do.
There was other stuff to do like change out all the ceiling tiles and there was lots of painting of walls and cabinetry.
Once all that was done, the decorating began. This of course is the funnest part of any project.
First came block painting. Not such an easy task.
But block painting turned out to be a breeze compared to circle painting.
Then trees had to be "planted" and grown.
The alphabet had to fit just right.
And then magically, after many weeks of work and many man and woman hours, it all started coming together. Toys and furniture were moved so the kiddies could feel at home.
The blocks looked blocky, colorful and cute.
Donkeys and lambs were painted in their places.
Sweet smelling flowers were lovingly doodled.
We had to have a prancing bunny.
Leaves on the trees grew in quite nicely.
The circling circles stayed put.
And there you have it. Our new nursery at the same address, but different location.
It's completely adorable.
And that's what you call a group project. I can think of at least 12 to 15 people that helped in the process.
Teamwork is a good thing.
