On the morning of Thanksgiving, Dale and Jared used a limb saw to cut one of the ropes holding the limb and with a quick thud, it was on the ground. The most important thing was that everyone was safe and sound. The only 2 things left to deal with were chopping the limb for firewood and car repairs.
When I drove my car home from Mom's Wednesday night, there was a new portal for wind distribution as well as a distinct whistle to serenade Caitlin and I on the way. Glass was EVERYWHERE. You never know how important ALL of your windshield is until you don't have full visibility. Also windshield wipers are a MUST. There was a total of $6,029.55 worth of damage done to my car. And like a good neighbor, it's getting fixed. It's at the doctor right now with multiple major surgeries being performed. It'll be almost 3 weeks from the incident until my car's finished.
The windshield got a major black eye.
Oh look! My car's adorned with fall leaves!
The hood is being replaced and the roof was damaged as well.
The culprit that did all that damage.
Nighttime makes everything a little more scary.
Firewood just in time for Winter.
That looks like a tree and not just a limb.
It's just so big.
The origin of the break.
All in all it was an unforgettable eve before giving thanks.
Now onto the turkey story, but other than having a 24 pound bird that took longer than we anticipated to cook, it was yummy and delicious.
Pictures of course will follow.
