Thanksgiving 2010 was memorable and yummy and after all the tree drama it was nice to get down to the basics of the day, cooking and eating. As is the norm for us, we gathered together and cooked at Melanie's. Thanksgiving's such a fun holiday for us because we get to spend time together cooking and laughing and making more memories. This year, besides the tree falling, the next most troubling thing to happen was our 24 pound turkey took at least an extra hour to cook than we had planned....but it was still delicious. We had a very successful day of all Thanksgiving things.
I'm always amazed at what I find on my camera when I download my pictures. It's rarely a dull moment when it's in the hands of others. These people never met a camera they didn't like.
Have a look at the tom foolery and the memory making.
Maggie may be sneaking a Bloody Mary although it looks more like a Dr Pepper.
But there's no doubt what the Billie June's drinking.
Caitlin has no visible drink so therefore I'm unsure if she was sneaking something.
Olivia looks as if she's happy it's Thanksgiving day.
But here she looks a little sleepy.
I think Maggie's up to to something.
Yep she's giving Caitlin the point and shoot finger.
And now the rarwwww lion pounce move.
Is this our classy way of calling everyone to dinner Maggie?
These were taken with the point, shoot and hold the button down for multiple frames method.
Someone must be calling roll, Maggie's signaling that she's present.
Cammie's present.
But something tells me Cammie's looking for something else.
Yep the something else was the huge 24 pound turkey.
Olivia looking cute.
Caitlin looking skeptical.
Carlie preparing for some camera tomfoolery.
Ummmm yummy pies.
The girls took time out of the photo shoot to decorate for dinner.
Becky's keeping an eye on the stove.
That would be the gut gravy she's stirring.
And the delicious dressing in the front while the finished destringed celery's ready to eat.
Some pretty decorations.
Emma's back for more pictures.
Grandma and Connie, super cute pic.
Emma joined in.
And one more for posterity.
