Saturday in North Carolina

Since Saturday was new year's eve, after our afternoon in Raleigh, we had to find a way to celebrate so we searched and found an Italian restaurant to go eat at and help ring in 2012. I can't remember the name of the place but it was super yummy! And it really doesn't matter anyway cause it's too far away to give it as a suggestion. I've never been one to be keen on the whole new year celebrating except to clink glasses at midnight and drink sparking apple cider. I know, that's wild and crazy. But, from the looks of these pictures, it seems we had a fun and fabulous time, and even if you don't believe it from the looks of the wild and craziness, no alcoholic beverages were consumed by any of these people. We did stop at the local K Marts to pick up some budget cider and plastic glasses in preparation for the celebration.

We started out at the hotel getting ready for 2012 in some styling glasses. And may I say the background color is giving quite the golden hue in the next few photos.

You might think everyone had a pair of 2012 glasses. They did not. They had the one pair that was passed around. A group photo with these glasses would have been ACES though. Maggie's giving 2012 a big thumb's up.

Carlie's turn.

Now Caitlin.

Notice there are no pictures of Olivia in the classy 2012 glasses. SHOCKING!

Last one before we're off.

So we get to the restaurant and have to wait like forever.....or 30 to 45 minutes....so we tried to amuse ourselves as best we could.

There was no room on the bench for Emma.

The restaurant, in anticipation of new year's revelers, provided the celebratory head wear and some wore it with confidence.

Confident or goofy? I know which one I'm going with.

Settle down now for a cute pic.

But goofy just keeps bubbling up.

With the sissy.

The other sissies.

Some have the crazy eyes.

More sissy pics.....Olivia sans head wear.

Not sure what's happening here.

Awwwwww yeaaaaaahhhhh.....

Now why wasn't that funny?

Olivia's the creepster in the background.

Carlie's decided to contemplate the meaning of life.

But enough of that!

Like it.

Olivia looks a little glassy eyed.

And she has the crazy eyes here.

Cuuutteeee.

Gotta have a car pic with the glasses as well as star crowns. Whitney would LOVE and WEAR these head adornments on a regular basis.

And there you have it. The new year's celebration in North Carolina.

Will this trip ever end?
