When we're in Corsicana we have certain things on our to do list and a couple of them are country rides and city rides. There are so many fun old shops and places to see in town and we have to ride by all of them to see if anything's changed.....rarely do we find anything has. In the old neighborhoods there are so many charming houses that I'm not sure I could choose a favorite. On our last trip, my girls and I made a trip to town to take photos of as many of them as possible. It's very likely we may have frightened some residents, as one or two people MAY have seen us taking the pics and wondering what the heck we were doing. I'm happy to report this was one time I wasn't stopped by a policeman.....which HAS happened on MULTI occasions.....but that's an explanation for another day.
I wish I could've seen these houses in their heyday. These are the houses in the neighborhoods that I envisioned my dad and aunts and uncles walking along on the red brick sidewalks while laughing and talking and having fun. I imagine it was grand.
Also one last note. I thought about trying to adjust the photos that looked crooked so all would be straight. BUT that would have required putting the pictures on one computer and editing each one and then putting them on a hard drive so I could move them to my computer I use to do my blog posts and then I thought.......hmmmmmmm. Either I could do all that and take hours and then days to finish, OR people could just tilt their heads and pretend the pics were straight.
Yep I went with the tilting.
Happy looking....
See what I mean? There are so many to love.
