Once we were all in our places, it was time for the ceremony to begin in a beautiful church with an amazing pipe organ. Chill bumps don't take long to appear once the majesty of the music begins and the bride is coming down the aisle. It was spectacular.
I wish I'd taken a few photos with my phone during the ceremony but I wanted to sit and enjoy the moment. Special events aren't the same when seen through the tiny window of a camera. But I swiped the one below off of Facebook. I think it captures the beauty of it all quite well.
This is after the ceremony as we waited for our turn to take a family picture. |
Mollie, Mollie, Mollie. And Lindsey is all, "Oh no you didn't." |
Not sure what's happening with Whitney. |
All the siblings of both the bride and groom. |
Us. |
New family pic. |
One more. |
Aaron took this in preparation of a quick photog lesson so he could take our family picture while the real photographer took our picture as well. Lets see how he did.
His attempt begins. |
Photographer's still getting people placed. |
Those tall candles are posing a problem. |
Not bad but the candle sticks are in focus. Dumb candle sticks. |
People unawares that someone is taking a pic. My favs. |
Close to the finished product. |
I applaud Aaron's effort. |
Candle sticks 1- Aaron 1/2. Stupid candle sticks. |
Super great picture. |
The entrance to the church. |
Then we were off to the reception and lots of music and dancing and football. Alabama tried to ruin some people's night, but not mine!. Marriages last longer than football games in the grand scheme of life.
Come back for more later.
I now have to decorate something.
Christmas is so close.
Safe travels to all people everywhere.
