Another fun Thanksgiving with us

Well the main characters of Thanksgiving arrived again this year, and I have many pictures of everyone via me, Melanie, Olivia and Mollie. Pretty much always assume the questionable pictures are taken by Olivia, because the instant she gets the camera in her hand, she just starts clicking, no matter where the camera's pointing. You'll see what I mean. Anyway we were missing some faces this year, namely Joe and Mary and Kelly and Jon. And it was William's first Thanksgiving, although he did not partake of the bird due to lack of teeth. But he seemed to enjoy his pureed sweet taters!

And since I've posted very little pre-Christmas posts, let me take some time to catch up. Caitlin, Olivia and I have watched as many good and bad Hallmark and Lifetime Christmas movies this season as possible. We've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. Some of our favorites have been: 12 Dates of Christmas, 12 Men of Christmas and On Strike for Christmas. The not so good: A Nanny for Christmas and A Princess for Christmas, but we were at least able to finish those. There were some we taped that after 5 minutes, we couldn't go any father. Some movies should never have been made.

Mollie graduated with her Masters a couple weekends ago and I have pictures, but they will have to wait. Christmas break has begun for most of my family, except for Caitlin. Due to ULM's bowl game next week, WOO HOO, she has to even work on Christmas Eve. We'll be attending next Friday rooting on the Warhawks! And one last thing. Last weekend as we were navigating around Dallas, Caitlin was looking at the Google maps and telling us where to turn and John asked her, "Well how far is it?" She responded, "About an inch and a half." Hmmm, if only there was a better way.

Scroll and see....

Dressing's in flux.
Acting like they like each other.
Dressing's done! Now to cook!
The turkey has landed.
Father and son.
William's first Thanksgiving.
Billie chatting with Kelly and Jon.
The million dollar decorators....said in the guy's voice from that show. Who is ridiculous!
Lauren helped too.
People run when celery must be tended to. Carlie and I have been removed from celery stringing duty due to the fact we suck at it! ON PURPOSE!
The boys help.......NOT! Bill's looking a little spicious.
Owen's in the category of non helper.
Shadows on the face of the child sorta ruined the picture
Shma
Another cute but leafy picture.
Ugh! The leaf shadows!
Sans the leaf shadows on his face, cute pic.
The leaves were not my friend that day. Carlie looks as if she's wearing a mask.
William's ready for some turkey! But Caitlin's finger will have to do for now.
Cutie pie
Olivia's turn to be spicious.
Awww sissies.
These hammy goofy people.
Becky, Jim and Connie toasting the holiday.
Frick, frack. and, don't even.
Another cute one of a table decorator and a non worker.
Cute pic.
But you know how I love...
To take just enough pictures of Caitlin....
To make her lose it. And clearly Maggie's now spicious.
Whitney was one of the table decorators.
Two goofy people were there.
Angela stopped by for a visit.
And a squeeze from William.
Not sure why the beets deserved a close up. I'm certain this was taken by Olivia.
As well as the pea pot.
Do not
Believe this for one second.
Hmmm I'm thinking the flash was close and bright.
Cute pic.
Lovely table settings
With lovely candles.
Successful photo bomb by Melanie.
Swinging til supper.
I think I have one more post to finish the giving of thanks, but people have arrived in town for our annual festivities, so I'm not sure I'll make my deadline of finishing before Christmas.

I've never been more acutely aware that there are people in the world with no one to spend Christmas with, or are missing loved ones this year. Especially in Connecticut. We have to pray and trust and believe that God pardons, heals, redeems, crowns and satisfies. There are lots more children in heaven this year. And if it hurts our hearts that much, I can't imagine how they feel.

God bless those families.

God bless all families.

God bless us everyone.
