It's Independence Day and it makes for a fun baby reveal as well!

In honor of July 4th and our American independence, I'm posting some pics from last year's fourth when we were in Monroe. It's now two years in a row that we haven't celebrated the fourth in Texas.

Here in Louisiana our fireworks have already taken place and we don't really have any to look forward to tomorrow. It's gonna be super low key, because it's also our first ever July 4th without any of our kids. At least since Caitlin was born. So 29 years ago, we had no kids and were celebrating as we are right now. John's asleep and I'm watching TV. Some things never change. Well, we were probably in Corsicana doing those things.

Anyway, last year on this day we had just gotten home from DC and we had some fireworks at the Turners and of course we took some pics.

Lets see what it looked like way back last year.
Olivia, Beba, made this statement after hearing large amounts of fireworks in the neighborhood. It was also a very timely statement since we'd just been to Yorktown.
One of the geniuses in our family decided to purchase a confetti canon.
Do you know what you do after a confetti canon blows?
You pick up very, very many small, tiny pieces of confetti.
There was tons.
We picked and we picked...
Even little people picked...
And then Bill said, "Who's the genius that bought the stupid confetti canon?"
July 1st 2017 wasn't independence day, but it was find out what gender baby Mollie and Aaron are having day. So we had a fun time in the hills of West Monroe at Whitney and David's house as a firework was set off in the gender color of the wee babe.
Those are pink sprinkles signifying, "It's a girl!"
The girls are making a comeback baby. Get it?
But just so you know, we love blue too! Blue sprinkles would have been just as exciting. We don't care the gender, as long as it's healthy and lands into our family.

In this case, Aubrey Elise will be the new addition coming in November 2017. We can't wait to meet her and when she arrives, we will gather and wait to see her beautiful self and thank God for blessing us with a new baby girl.

And we will love her forever.

Because that's what we do.

Here's to American independence and baby reveals...we are grateful for both this year.
