I've had nothing to talk about and nothing to say. Last night I sat here in the dark by myself and came up with absolutely nothing. So here goes nothing.
What shall we do til Downton Abby comes back? The Brits need to get with the program and make more than 6 episodes a year! Lazy buggers.
I've watched so many animated movies in the last two months, I think I may lose it. It's been too cold or rainy or too cold and rainy FOREVER! We've GOT to get some warm weather so I can release the hounds at school to the outdoors. How many times can three year old girls watch Cinderella? So many I can't count. I've run though my entire repertoire of movies and even still this whole week we may be inside again! Oy. The other day after watching Over the Hedge I came home and threw it in the trash. There was so much liberal propaganda in it I couldn't take it. Don't buy it! It's awful! There's nothing wrong with human people not wanting non human people like raccoons, skunks and other varmits in their house! Nothing I say!
Which reminds me that the pecans I spent hours picking up last fall are being pillaged by animals at night. Pretty sure it's raccoons. They crack them in my carport having a feast and leaving the biggest mess. The movie "Over the Hedge" would think me ridiculous for not wanting to share my bounty with the little monsters. Ridiculous! This incident prompted me and John to take the pecans to the pecan shelling place and the pecan shelling people are gone! Zut alors! I can't fight off the hoard of beasts eating my pecans for a year! What shall I do?! I'll let you know what happens. I'm leaving a curiosity inducing cliff hanger here.
Emma went to a conference in Tennessee for school last week and came home with first prize for best Arts and Entertainment editor of the ULM newspaper. She was super excited. She's making a name for herself in the newspaper world, which always brings me back to Truly and wishing he was here to tell. There's always something to tell the people who are no longer here.
Last night we had fried steak for supper for the first time in years! And John reminded me of the time we were in Corsicana and Gran put steak gravy on top of German chocolate cake and ate it, thinking it to be yummy. So. Gross. Which reminded me of him eating cornbread with milk in a tall green glass. Which reminded me of the time Grandma made a peach cobbler and there was no ice cream! It was the saddest day. Gran put milk on his but it just wasn't fittin.
Owen's not playing baseball this year and I'm amazed at how much it hurts my heart. I love the boys of summer who begin their season in Winter causing me to sit in the stands and freeze my buttukus off. BUT I don't miss one particular woman who used to drive me nuts with her words. Which reminds me that the ballpark has been the place where even if veins were popping out all over my neck due to stress, I still managed to keep my mouth shut to coaches and obnoxious parents alike. Which is A MAZING. I think what I really miss is the little boy baseball player who's gone forever.
This is who I miss.
Ugh. Be still my heart. |
I tried uploading a video to my blog but it didn't work. I've got to get a new computer!
My life needs to get more interesting in a good way soon. I've bored myself to sleep with this post.
That's all folks. I'll leave you with the newest offering of William the great. These two photos are the cutest yet and his outfit would indicate he's ready for St. Patty's Day! Which is just around the corner!
Delicious! |
This post has been brought to you by the letter zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
