Scroll down to see the poor suckers who were reduced to embracing the floor for a spot.
These are the faces of poor suckers. |
Olivia knows she's a poor sucker without a chair. These two had office chair races after all people went to bed. |
The next morning began with most of us meeting downstairs so some could enjoy the extensive continental breakfast as we watched William cruise the lobby for chicks. However, throughout the weekend the mood of the toddler turned uncharacteristically surly and by Sunday morning, speaking to him, touching his person or looking in his general direction was frowned upon by the flaxen haired lad. Early Sunday his parents saw it was time to hit the road for home and quickly packed the boy and their belongings and headed for the exit. Not surprisingly, toddlers don't see wedding weekends the same as adults. But I'm happy to report once back home, and in his own element, he was back to his jovial self.
But while the Swanders scampered for the highway, the rest of us met the new Mr. and Mrs. for a lovely brunch at a place called Another Broken Egg just across the street from our hotel. When we arrived, I noted something very quickly. Scroll down and see.
Matchy matchy is so not cool, but the two boys could have cared less. |
This is evidence of some of the partakers....except for the floopy eyed girl behind Rebecca who will forever be trapped in this family moment with strangers she shall never see again. |
More brunch peeps rehashing the night before. Whitney seems gleeful. |
These pictures portray blurry tired people with hungry tummies. I love it. |
Weep not Maggie. I actually think she just got something in her eye. Not sure Owen cares. |
Aww look at the sissies all happy and loving each other. |
Table dwellers. |
Plus John being weird. |
And the other end. |
Plus me. |
Another age group of sissies. |
Because Mollie was staying in Lafayette to spend the day with her boyfriend, the rest of us helped ourselves to her new humble abode in another southern city. Scroll down to see the home crashers.
After we left her place, my car zeroed in on a Dairy Queen and a turn it upside down to check the thickness Blizzard and then we continued on our way home.
All in all our first weekend ever in Lafayette was a lovely memory made to be remembered for a lifetime. I love a good new memory, especially those well photographically documented, because it makes it so much easier to remember all the events.
And with this post I'm signing off on this wedding a little ahead of the next one....just two weeks away.
Godspeed to the photographers and the memory makers.
And to new memories.
