I'm taking a short break from blogging.
I've got some things to think about.
Not happy about some stuff I've discovered.
I don't think I'm quitting.
I'm just thinking.
And it's exhausting.

Getting to know Ila Marie
After two days of driving and looking, the travelers finally arrived in Pennsylvania for the wedding weekend. Ila Marie came for the wedding along with her parents, Ben and Liz and her grandparents Keith and Becky. Clearly Ila became the main focus of the camera, and she was a busy little bee....as you'll see.
HEY! I made a rhyme. I'm getting a little punchy cause I've been working on this a LONG time. So lets get right to the pics shall we?
Ila seems unsure of the camera and the picture taker. It looks as if she's found a big chunk of something to wag around, looking cute while she did it.
Working on her upper abdominals.
She's pleased with her workout! What a cutie.
I've decided what she's lugging is a fake book looking trunk. Whitney, in the background is engrossed in telling everyone what happened in Pocahontas.
Mom/Liz in the background. I think Ila's looking for an entry point to the trunk/box.
She's down to business now.
Once again looking cute.
Ila's pal Douglas.
She found a treasure in the box?! A blue something.
A blue/green something.
Then her Granny took her to hang over a precipice. Scary.
Yep, hanging over the precipice looking as if she thinks Granny is nutso.
But all ended well, cause she's now eating goldfish and hanging out with Mom.
A close up of the cute face.
That's a pretty serious face for eating goldfish. Maybe she's reliving the precipice experience.
Getting a hug from Dad.
A view of where all the travelers were staying. Very lovely.
Beautiful.
Another angle.
Hanging out waiting on the grown ups I'm sure.
Remember this picture from Corsicana Labor day when Maya had just told the hilariously funny joke?
Well Maya called Ila and told her the joke and she thought it was just as funny.
She's still thinking about how funny Maya is.
What's up next.
Time for a hug from Granny and then off to a photo shoot with the parentals.
What a cute little family and that hat is fabulous! I love it.
This one's cute too.
Love Dad looking at Ila.
Wait! Where's the hat? Ila looks a little stressed that her hat is gone.
Now she's sad about it cause she has a little instance of hat hair. No girl likes hat hair.
Another cute pic.
The hat's back! I love that hat on that cute head. Love this pic of Mom and daughter.
OMG she's edible.
Last one.
All in all it was a highly successful photo shoot done by Melanie.
Next up some beautiful fall photos along the countryside.

Apples or corn?
Yesterday I bought 4 apples that cost 5 dollars. It was a breathtaking experience. Today when I ate one of the "apples of gold" it was very disappointing and winey tasting.
Two weeks ago I bought a bag of candy corn that cost 2 bucks. It's delicious EVERY SINGLE TIME I have 1 or 50.
It would seem to be more economical to be fat.
At least with candy corn I know what I'm getting.
And that's my brilliant thought for the day.

Some random photos from labor day
Just a few random pictures of the little girls and a few grown ups and pups. I love the sunlight in lots of these pictures. Good pictures make me feel good. They evoke a memory and a response in me that I can't explain. I think I'll always love to take pictures. At least I hope so. And each time I see a picture of these little girls, it makes me wish so much that Frank could be here to enjoy spending time with his beautiful granddaughters. AND so I could call him Grandpa A LOT. Because as many times as he teased me about him being smarter than me, as long as he was here, he was ALWAYS older.
More time with him would have been wonderful.
He was good people.
